Working with for the comunity
At APIEM, we work with and for communities across Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, particularly in North Kivu, South Kivu, and Ituri. Our projects are developed in close collaboration with local communities, schools, community leaders, women’s groups, youth organizations, and local authorities to address their most pressing needs. We support inclusive education for children with disabilities, build community infrastructure such as pedestrian bridges to improve access to schools and health facilities, promote peacebuilding in conflict-affected areas, strengthen community resilience through environmental protection and livelihood initiatives, and advocate for the rights and dignity of vulnerable populations. By combining local knowledge with sustainable solutions, we help communities become safer, more inclusive, and better prepared for future challenges.
